Mandai Depot (Chinese: 万礼车厂) is a full maintenance train depot located in Mandai in Singapore. Currently under construction, It will be operational from 2019 onwards. Located at a site 〔(OneMap )〕 bounded by Mandai Road, Seletar Expressway and Lor Lada Hitam, it is within the Mandai Agrotechnology Park.〔(Orchidville – Learn a little bit more about our history )〕 and has the capacity to stable up to 90 trains.〔http://app.lta.gov.sg/data/apps/news/press/2011/TSL%20Annex-A%2016-06-2011.pdf〕 The Depot will serve the upcoming Thomson-East Coast Line and will include a rail administration building, stabling yard, test track and control room. The administrative building will house the OCC and DCC for the Thomson Line. A 66kV substation will be built to support the operation of the TEL. The depot is located between Woodlands station and Woodlands South station and has 3 reception tracks: 1 track Northbound towards Woodlands station and 2 tracks Southbound towards Woodlands South station ==History== First announced by the Land Transport Authority on 16 June 2011, construction of the depot would commence at the end of 2012 and is expected to be an at-grade depot.
